Although small in size, the custom-made Mercedes is packed with luxury details. The tiny vehicle includes leather seats, functioning front lights, a USB-compatible stereo system, and a personalised number plate reading “R05 COE,” a playful tribute to Roscoe himself. The car was regularly seen transporting the famous bulldog around the Formula One paddock during race weekends, becoming instantly recognisable to fans around the world.
Hamilton lost Roscoe in September 2025 after the dog suffered serious health complications. According to the Ferrari driver, Roscoe had been placed in a medically induced coma after his heart stopped during sedation for a medical examination related to breathing difficulties caused by recurring pneumonia. Hamilton later revealed that he made the heartbreaking decision to put Roscoe to sleep to end his suffering.
The seven-time world champion described the experience as one of the most painful moments of his life. Roscoe had been by Hamilton’s side for many years and had become hugely popular among Formula One fans thanks to his regular appearances in the paddock, social media posts, and his calm and lovable personality. Roscoe was also known for living a vegan lifestyle alongside Hamilton, something the driver often proudly spoke about online.
Following Roscoe’s passing, the miniature G Wagon remained stored away until the Silverstone Museum stepped in to preserve it. The museum later announced the donation through its social media platforms, inviting fans to come and see the famous vehicle in person.
In a video shared by the museum, Robert Jaina, Head of Learning and Engagement at the museum, explained how special the car truly is. He revealed that after Roscoe’s death, the vehicle had been left in storage before the museum managed to rescue it. Hamilton then kindly agreed for the car to become part of the museum’s collection.
Jaina described it as one of the most unique vehicles he had ever discussed. While it may have originally been designed for a dog, he explained that it represents much more than that. The miniature G Wagon became a symbol recognised by millions of fans online and now serves as both a motorsport memory and a piece of social media history.
He also shared several charming details about the car. Inside, Roscoe’s original blanket still remains on the seat, preserving a personal connection to the late bulldog. Visitors can also see the comfortable leather interior, the working stereo system, and the remote-control mechanism used to move the vehicle around the paddock. According to Jaina, there may even be opportunities in the future for someone to own the vehicle, although it currently remains one of the museum’s standout attractions.
Fans hoping to see Roscoe’s famous ride can visit the Silverstone Museum by purchasing tickets either online or directly at the circuit. Online bookings offer cheaper prices, while visitors paying on arrival may face an additional fee. Ticket prices generally range from £15 to £29 depending on age, and every ticket purchased also grants unlimited entry to the museum for an entire year.
