Breaking News: Rangers employee under serious investigation

An investigation is currently underway following an incident involving a St Johnstone employee before the Premier Sports Cup last 16 match against Rangers at Hampden Park on Saturday. The match, held at Hampden due to ongoing stadium works at Ibrox, was marred by pre-match disturbances.

The incident in question reportedly involved a female St Johnstone supporter liaison officer who was allegedly knocked to the ground during scuffles on the stadium concourse. Video footage of the altercation, showing police officers confronting a group of disorderly supporters, has circulated widely on social media.

St Johnstone has acknowledged the incident and confirmed that they are collaborating with Rangers, Police Scotland, the SPFL, and the SFA as part of an active investigation. The club has stated that they will not provide further comments until the investigation concludes.
