Breaking news:player land in Brighton FC ahead of medical tomorrow.

According to a report from the Turkish media, Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadıoğlu has reached an agreement with Brighton & Hove Albion. The Premier League club has been interested in the 27-year-old following his impressive performances for Turkey at this summer’s Euros.

Sabah reported today that Kadıoğlu is close to joining Brighton after they submitted a €35 million offer. The left-back was pulled out of last night’s Champions League qualifier against Lille due to injury, but Sabah suggests that the real reason is his impending move to the English club.

Fenerbahce is expected to decide tomorrow whether to accept Brighton’s offer, although it will be difficult for them to turn down such a significant sum. If the deal goes through, the €35 million fee would break the transfer record for a player being sold from the Turkish Super Lig, currently set at €30 million.

Kadıoğlu, who is contracted with Fenerbahce until June 2026, has also attracted interest from Manchester United and Arsenal this summer. Last season, he made 41 appearances for Fenerbahce, scoring three goals.
