Celtic are confident- ITK reporter delivers striker update

Celtic is reportedly confident about securing a permanent deal with Adam Idah, as per Scott Burns of the Daily Record. Last week, it was reported that Norwich turned down an offer for the striker, but it appears that the Irishman is still a target, with no indication of considering alternative options for the attack. With less than four weeks left before the start of the SPFL season, Celtic has yet to make any signings. However, with upcoming matches against DC United, Manchester City, and Chelsea, fans are anticipating completed deals before the squad travels to the USA. Transfer expert Burns, known for his reliable track record in transfer business, has summarized the latest activity in the Daily Record. This includes Celtic’s confidence in securing Idah’s permanent transfer from Norwich City, ongoing negotiations with Benfica for the signing of Bernardo, and interest in Sparta Prague goalkeeper Peter Vindahl Jensen. Additionally, Celtic has made an approach for Burnley defender Dara O’Shea. However, all transfer activity so far has been focused on players leaving the Scottish champions. Burns’ report also highlights the potential departure of around a dozen players, including James McCarthy and Liam Shaw, who did not feature under Brendan Rodgers last season. After a 1-1 draw with Ayr United, Celtic will face Queens Park on Wednesday, likely with the same squad, as any new signings will need to undergo fitness assessments before being included in the team.
