In an attempt to solidify John Bennett’s Rangers transfer ambition, Nils Koppen departs from Ibrox.

Nils Koppen, the director of recruitment at Rangers, is travelling to Italy in order to solidify plans “ahead of a busy Summer Transfer Window.”

As the team continues to build ties in the transfer market, the Belgian recruitment guru stated that he will be attending this week’s TransferRoom event in Rome.

“Ahead of a busy summer transfer window,” the former PSV Eindhoven recruitment expert will attend the summit and meet with around 70 clubs to establish new partnerships.

Rangers will be looking to make new contacts because, since joining the team in January, Nils Koppen has been working hard to reform the player trade process.

What is the top of TransferRoom?

Rangers previously used the TransferRoom summit to their advantage, establishing a connection with Oscar Cortes’s former team, FC Millonarios, which ultimately resulted in the winger joining the team.

The main idea is that representatives from football teams around the globe would mix and maybe make connections within the transfer sector.

In a format that has been compared to speed dating, each representative will have up to 38 separate encounters, plenty of handshakes, and possible gold nuggets waiting with every discussion.

The conference is scheduled to be attended by a representative of Borna Barisic, who is preparing to leave the Rangers, in addition to sporting directors.

In terms of potential young players that meet the requirements of the Ibrox club’s player trade setup, Rangers is starting to look like a pretty intriguing destination.

Following several years of inconsistent, if not erratic, performance in player trading, chairman John Bennett promised to increase investment following the most recent financial results.

In keeping with that, Rangers have signed a number of promising young players, including Mohamed Diomande, which they hope is a harbinger of things to come.

Finding young football players with talent who can develop into elite players on the Ibrox stage is Rangers’ main goal.

The goal is to persuade them that moving closer to Ibrox will propel them to the top, with the team’s title aspirations, tremendous support, and impressive facilities serving as key selling points.

The man spearheading the effort to do so is Nils Koppen, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise if Rangers’ trip to Italy proves to be fortunate in more ways than one.
