Celtic is still pursuing a deal to bring Kieran Tierney back from Arsenal during the January transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano. The football transfer expert shared a brief update on X, stating, “Celtic and Kieran Tierney, deal on.” Celtic is aiming to sign a new left-back this month, with Tierney being a top target due to his history with the club. Earlier this month, Romano reported that discussions had taken place between Celtic and Arsenal regarding a potential move for the Scottish defender.
Tierney, who is not part of Mikel Arteta’s plans and has had limited playing time, is eager to return to Celtic Park. Both clubs are working to finalize an agreement. Romano also mentioned that Serie A club Como has shown interest in Alex Valle, who is currently on loan at Celtic from FC Barcelona. This move could pave the way for Valle to leave Celtic on loan in January.
Celtic fans are excited by the possibility of Tierney returning to the club where he made his name, and this could help the team in their trophy ambitions. Meanwhile, the future of Greg Taylor at Celtic remains uncertain, as he has yet to sign a new contract despite strong performances under manager Brendan Rodgers.
