Heartbreaking: Former Coventry City favourite set for transfer 12 months on from emotional departure

Twelve months after joining Blackburn Rovers from Coventry City, where he had fallen down the defensive hierarchy, former star Kyle McFadzean appears to be leaving the team.

Last January, the seasoned player made the heartbreaking decision to leave the Sky Blues and sign a temporary contract with Ewood Park. In the summer of 2024–2025, he signed a one-year contract with manager John Eustace, a former City captain.

However, the 37-year-old center-half has only made two substitute appearances in the Carabao Cup and one minute from the bench in the Championship this season, which has left the defender eager to depart in order to obtain playing time. This is the same circumstance and choice he made at this time last year.
