Kasper Schmeichel unfazed by Celtic contract situation as Neil Lennon tipped for managerial comeback

Kasper Schmeichel has expressed his relaxed stance on his current contract situation at Celtic. The 38-year-old goalkeeper, who joined the club in the summer, has been a standout performer, boasting 11 clean sheets in 19 appearances. His initial one-year deal includes an option for an additional 12 months, but Schmeichel is focused on the present and has not engaged in talks about his future beyond this season.

Meanwhile, Neil Lennon is being touted as a strong candidate for the managerial vacancy at Cardiff City. Former Celtic player Joe Ledley, who was signed by Lennon during his time at the Glasgow club, has endorsed him for the role. Lennon, a Celtic legend, has been out of work since his brief stint with Rapid Bucharest ended in September. Ledley believes Lennon’s leadership and motivational style could bring much-needed cohesion to Cardiff City.
