‘On flames’.: Scott Brown and Neil Lennon blown away by Celtic Park Champions League hero….

The praise for Celtic and their players keeps pouring in following their impressive Champions League win over RB Leipzig this week — and rightly so. After facing heavy criticism for their defeat to Borussia Dortmund, Celtic have certainly earned every bit of the acclaim coming their way.

Brendan Rodgers orchestrated a solid draw against Atalanta and has now masterminded a stunning victory over one of the top teams in Germany. Celtic sent a strong message to Leipzig with a dominant display on Tuesday night.

Two Celtic legends, Scott Brown and Neil Lennon, were particularly taken aback by the performance of one player who they say was “on fire” during the Parkhead victory. That player? Nicolas Kuhn.

While working as pundits for TNT Sports from inside Celtic Park, Brown and Lennon couldn’t help but gush over Kuhn, whose two goals gave Celtic a 2-1 lead just before halftime.

Brown, clearly impressed, said, “Oh, 100%, they went quiet for a little bit. But if I’m a Celtic player today, I’m giving Kuhn the ball. He seems on flames. He’s enjoying today, and that’s just an exceptional finish.”

Kuhn’s second goal was a thing of beauty, leaving commentators in awe. As Brown explained, “The defender lets him go inside on his stronger foot, but he’s looking at all the way, and you can hear Joe [Hart], he’s not sure if it’s a cross or a shot, but it’s exceptional. That’s what you want from your wingers in that area.”

Neil Lennon echoed the praise, calling the goal “individual brilliance” and adding, “Brilliant bit of recruitment from Celtic as well, outstanding signing, and he’s just getting better and better.”

Lennon also took aim at Leipzig’s defensive mistakes, saying, “This is nonsense from Leipzig. You can’t do this away from home against good opposition like Celtic and expect to get away with it. Celtic punished them.” He also highlighted the build-up to the goal, commending the contributions from Reo Hatate and Greg Taylor before Kuhn found the back of the net.

Kuhn, who has struggled to find his feet at Celtic since joining, is quickly becoming a fan favorite after his stellar performance. His display against Leipzig has even led to speculation that he could earn a spot in Germany’s national team, which could be a real possibility if he continues to perform at this level.

With his stock rising, Nicolas Kuhn’s future at Celtic looks very bright, and he’s proving to be one of the standout signings under Brendan Rodgers.
