Uh oh: Celtic now at risk of losing “fantastic” Rodgers star as contract talks reach stalemate

Celtic may face a significant setback, as contract discussions with one of Brendan Rodgers’ key players have reportedly stalled. Despite Celtic’s strong start to the season, including a decisive victory over Aberdeen in the Scottish League Cup and an impressive Champions League win against RB Leipzig, contract negotiations with left-back Greg Taylor have hit an impasse. Taylor’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season, allowing him to consider other offers starting in January.

Rodgers has emphasized Taylor’s importance, describing him as a “fantastic” player who brings both technical skill and competitive spirit. He has expressed his hope that a new deal can be arranged, underscoring Taylor’s role as essential to Celtic’s tactical setup. However, with talks currently stalled, there is growing concern that Taylor may exit when his contract concludes next summer.
