Brentford is reportedly interested in Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn as a potential replacement for Bryan Mbeumo, who has been in impressive form this season with eight goals in ten Premier League starts. Mbeumo’s performances have attracted attention from top Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle. With his contract set to expire in 2026 and an option for a one-year extension, Mbeumo has hinted at a desire to move to a major European club.
Kuhn, a former Germany U21 international, has been making waves with Celtic, showcasing his talent with standout performances in the Champions League. In a recent clash with RB Leipzig, Kuhn scored twice, including a stunning equaliser, and contributed a defense-splitting pass that set up a key chance. His nine goals and ten assists in just 16 appearances this season highlight his impact since joining Celtic from Rapid Vienna for a modest £3 million fee last January.
Although Brendan Rodgers has praised Kuhn’s development and insists Celtic plans to keep him, a substantial offer could tempt the Scottish club. With Celtic valuing Kuhn at £25 million, Brentford might consider the young winger as an ideal candidate to step into Mbeumo’s shoes should he leave West London.
