A promising midfielder is looking forward to participating in the upcoming European match.
Teenage sensation Archie Gray, who recently transferred to Tottenham Hotspur, is thrilled at the prospect of playing against Rangers next month. The match is set for December 12 at Ibrox as part of the Europa League.
Gray, who grew up a Celtic supporter, has already marked the date on his calendar. After making a significant move to Spurs—coached by former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou—Gray has been primarily involved in European competitions this season.
Gray comes from a footballing family, with his father Frank and uncle Eddie both having played for Scotland. However, the £30 million player has represented England at the under-21 level. Scottish fans may get a glimpse of him when Tottenham heads north for the Rangers game.
Speaking about the match, Gray said, “Having watched Celtic and supported them a bit, you always anticipate the Rangers game. Playing at Ibrox is something special, and I can’t wait for it. I’ve attended one Old Firm match, but it wasn’t at Ibrox. Those games are fantastic, and I enjoy every moment. They’re just as exciting to watch on TV.”
Tottenham has started strong in the Europa League, winning their first three matches against Qarabag, Ferencvaros, and AZ Alkmaar, and are well-positioned for qualification. They will face Galatasaray in Istanbul next Thursday.
In contrast, Rangers will travel to Piraeus next week to take on Olympiakos. They have secured victories against Malmo and FCSB but suffered a defeat at home to Lyon.
